Scott Burt Fantastic album! The original version of this was one of the first RMI albums I acquired back in the day. I loved the original so of course I love these uncut tracks. The opening textures are glorious and middle sections are complex and intense.
(I'm not sure why bandcamp won't let me select raw cane approach as my favorite track??) Favorite track: send off (uncut).

tzarcophagi What a perfect edit someone (Steve?) did 25 years ago for the uptempo heads. This is one of 5 best Elect. discs ever made. Now retired, I get 3 hrs of bliss as these discs will be studied years from my demise. Thanks Guys Favorite track: republic (uncut).

Republic was originally released as radio massacre international's second album and has proved to be a firm favourite. Then, when CDs were at their height of popularity, it seemed luxurious to have 74 minutes of playing time available on a single disc, but our recordings were still heavily edited in order to present more than a single piece on an album. Lots of 'invisible' edits to distill the essence of each piece down to twenty minutes without losing anything.

Here, then, the uncut versions, & you can hear the tape running out at the end of the title track; back then a reel of tape lasted about 66 minutes, & we'd keep an eye on it whilst playing, much as one would draw a live piece to a close based on the restlessness of an audience, or call it quits on a painting as the last few squared centimetres of canvas gets its fourth daubing.

Speaking of artwork- if you want to put these pieces onto shiny discs, they'll need one each, & therefore there's a sleeve-liner to print out for each title. .

Three pieces, recorded on three occasions back there in London in the distant summer of 1995.
