After hearing the news about Damo's departure we wanted to offer this as a tribute and a celebration.

Thanks to you Damo for stopping off on your never ending tour for a couple of amazing nights with us. People all over the world will be undoubtedly be saying the same thing. To us these gigs were really special, memorable, and fun beyond description. We still enjoy listening to them. You did us proud and we all did something special and unrepeatable.

Love, peace and fearlessness to our Metaphysical Transporter.

Original Sleeve Notes:

"RMI had been thinking about the possibility of a concert with Damo Suzuki for some time, when the opportunity presented itself in Manchester courtesy of Jay Taylor's Night and Day Club. It was, of course, a night to remember. Damo's principle of `instant composition'/`no plan' fitted RMI's ethos well. (Don't tell anybody, but we had already pre-written Track 2 whilst imagining what we might play with Damo when the idea first came up). The rest was literally and categorically made up on the spot. Don't ask us how.

Two and half years later, and at the eleventh hour, the opportunity presented itself once again. This time Gary couldn't make it, Duncan had to make a dash from London to Sheffield, and we found ourselves with a new reeds maestro Martin Archer (the start of a continuing friendship), and new guitarist (Steve's brother Jonny), who makes his living as a country artiste and who was not inconsiderably horrified at the prospect of playing improvised music in front of an audience having never done so before. Of all the musicians he has played with, Damo has never forgotten Jonny, and the night he played with a country singer in his band".
