This, my first solo album, came about quite quickly once I'd stopped staring at the digital multitrack for about 3 years and actually switched the thing on and started figuring out what to do with it. I kept things simple (it's my only option) and tried to see what would happen working on my own.

I enjoy putting albums together and spent a lot of time making sure the tracks were in a good running order. I'm also a fan of the 40 minute album and shorter pieces despite my parent band's more extensive explorations. It's an album you can get through easily, and that's important I think !

`Wright On' was dedicated to the legendary Rick Wright who had recently passed at the time and who was a key player in the development of the space rock we all know and love.

WDR 74 was what I imagined you might hear by accident one night in the Germany of the mid 70's, a mysterious medium wave broadcast perhaps.

`March For Peace' will always be known by me as `March Of The Nits', as my daughter was 8 at the time and that evening going through an annoying and disgusting smelling treatment for the scourge of schools everywhere....headlice, and making a right fuss about it...I told her the music represented them crawling all over her head like an army, which pleased her no end.....but you can't call a track that can you ?

I recorded in a tiny corner of an open plan house...I liked the distractions, and still do I suppose...there's a solo on the next album that I played as my daughter was literally tugging at my other arm.

I had a very enjoyable time making this collection and now that the physical copies have finally run out, it's appearing here on Bandcamp as a permanent fixture.
