The two extended pieces which make up this album grew from a combination of certain key elements recorded on an ad hoc basis. I enjoy sculpting larger pieces from smaller components, it allows for a variety of textures to be combined and layered to create a dense tapestry.

`The Last Days' has an inevitable lockdown undertone to it, the long near silences are testament to those strange days where everything stopped for a while.

`A Cosmos Of Sand' is (in name at least) a follow up to `A Galaxy Of Dust' on `The Vast Key' album. Infinity in a grain of sand. Infinite space.
